2009 GEORGIA MOTORCYCLE AWARENESS TOUR
NEW FOR 2009!! The Motorcycle Industry Council has just launched a new website https://online2.mic.org/helmetcheck/ that provides consumers information on the importance of using a motorcycle helmet when riding and allows them to find information on DOT-compliant helmets from any helmet manufacturer voluntarily participating in the database. Major helmet companies and distributors AFX, AGV, Arai, AXO, HJC, Icon, Scorpion, and Shoei have thus far provided the information on their full line of helmets to the site. An article on this site can be found at http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2009/Feb/090212c.htm.
The Georgia Motorcycle Safety web is interested in providing the most up-to-date information on motorcycle events, training, and safety for riders across the state.
As more and more people learn to ride motorcycles, the need for education and awareness also grows....both for riders as well as others on the road. By providing quality information, it is hoped that riders and drivers gain that experience before hitting the road. A safe ride is a fun ride.
But, we need your help as well. If you have event information that you would like broadcast, pictures from events in Georgia, or anything else that your fellow travelers would like, drop us a note or give us a call in our Contact Section.
Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you on the open road......
