COMMEMORATING THE TWENTY-THIRD ANNUAL NATIONAL PEACE OFFICERS' MEMORIAL SERVICE--PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF GEORGIANS On May 15, 2004, services were held in Washington, D.C. by the Grand Lodge Auxilary of the Fraternal Order of Police to honor those officers who lost their lives while in service for their communities. Luminaries such as President George Bush and Attorney General John Ashcroft were present to offer their condolences and support for familes of the fallen officers. Representatives from the Governor's Office of Highway Safety in Georgia attended the event and recorded a visual record of the ceremony.
