Bibb County Sheriff's Office Wins Operation Zero Tolerance Award from GOHS The Bibb County Sheriff's Department was honored today by the Governor's Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) for its leadership in the statewide effort called Operation Zero Tolerance to crack-down on impaired driving in Georgia. Operation Zero Tolerance is part of the national You Drink & Drive. You Lose program. The Bibb County Sheriff's Department issued a total of 606 citations during Operation Zero Tolerance, including: Seat belt violations: 9 DUI: 6 Child restraint: 8 Drug arrests: 1 Speeding: 187 Fugitives: 8 On a statewide basis, Georgia law enforcement officers from the GOHS regional traffic enforcement networks wrote 5703 seat belt tickets, 974 child restraint citations and 29,890 speeding citations during the impaired driving enforcement and education campaign in the last quarter.
