The
Governor's Office of Highway Safety would like congratulate the law enforcement
agencies in the SRTEN Traffic Enforcement Network. Through their hard
work, the network will be awarded a fully equipped BAT Trailer on June 18th
at a press event at the Berrien County Law Enforcement Complex in Nashville.
This trailer will include a split jail cell, Intoxilyzer, generator, lights,
writing station, etc...
We would like to invite all Chief's, Sheriff's and members of law enforcement
to attend the press event as we celebrate the accomplishments of this network
region.
The network qualified for the award by having the highest percentage of
agencies of all 16 traffic enforcement networks to report their monthly
activity as requested by the GOHS. The following data describes the

In an attempt to award agencies for reporting monthly enforcement activity,
the GOHS will continue to award 4 more BAT (Blood Alcohol Testing Mobile)
trailers throughout the summer. One trailer will be awarded each month
through October for a previous month's reporting data. In addition,
each network will conduct a drawing each month at your network's meeting.
All agencies that reported during a previous month will be placed into a
drawing for an award of an Alco Sensor or Handheld Radar Unit. Agencies
must be present to win.
We would like to encourage all agencies to participate in "100 Days of Summer
Heat" which began with "Click It or Ticket" and will run through Labor
Day with "Operation Zero Tolerance". Please remember that the July
4th OZT campaign begins June 25th and runs through July 5th.
In addition to faxing your monthly data to Gordy Wright at DPS, you now
have another option for reporting (On Line Reporting). You can go
to the GOHS website at gahighwaysafety.org Click on
"100 Days of Summer Heat". Then click on Monthly reporting.
Enter your agency name as password and login. This will take you to
a screen that resembles a database. Click on "edit". Enter your
data and click on "submit". Your data will now show up in "real time"
on our on-line database. If you choose to fax in the data as in the
past, Gordy Wright will enter the data on line for you.
