This December, the travel report for Georgia's holiday season will include continuing "HEAT" for anyone who recklessly climbs behind the wheel with high-risk driving habits. H.E.A.T. is a statewide driver safety campaign that means "Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic". Truly dangerous drivers will face a truly effective countermeasure campaign called "December HEAT".

SAFE COMMUNITIES: REDUCING TRAFFIC INJURIES ACROSS GEORGIA


Safe Communities is a model used by communities all across the country to identify and address local injury problems. Safe Communities are grounded in two basic principles. They are founded on the goal of reducing traffic injuries and are dependent upon a diverse group of partners for their success.

Notes from the Georgia Traffic Records Coordinating Committee


To make the roads safer and reduce the incidence of traffic crashes and fatalities, the Georgia Traffic Records Coordinating Committee (TRCC) was recently reconstituted. The purpose of this meeting was for the top executives of all agencies working in highway safety to set policies and guidelines for the future of the TRCC and Georgia's traffic records system.

Teen Driver/Parent Agreement
A Short-term Safe Driving Contract During The Intermediate Licensing Phase (Class D)


Teens between the ages of 15 and 19 years are more likely to be injured as a result of motor vehicle crashes than for any other cause. Extremely concerned about reducing motor vehicle deaths, injuries, and crashes among Georgia's teens, GOHS has created the Teen Driver/Parent Agreement for safety conscious students and their parents.
