IACP ANNUAL CONVENTION--MIAMI, FLORIDA--SEPTEMBER, 2005

On September 24th through the 27th, representatives from GOHS and around joined more than 14,000 law enforcement professionals representing all segments of our profession at the 112th Annual Conference and Exposition in Miami, Florida. The annual IACP gathering enables professionals to examine the state of the police industry through highly rated seminars, forums and technical workshops only offered through IACP. These sessions feature critical issues relevant to today's law enforcement professional and provide solutions to challenges and encourage productive dialogue among peers.

The International Association of Chiefs of Police is the world's oldest and largest nonprofit membership organization of police executives, with over 19,000 members in over 100 different countries. The IACP Conference is a closed show which is open only to IACP members and their guests.

During the conference, Georgia was honored with several national traffic safety awards for Franklin County Sheriff's Office, Carroll County Sheriff's Office, Hamilton Police Department, Sumter County Sheriff's Office, Pembroke Police Department, and the Tift County Sheriff's Office.

The Adel Police Department led by Chief Bill Butler placed first in the nation for their hard work in the field of traffic safety.

Congratulations go out to all the winners for a job well done.
