YOU DRIVE IMPAIRED IN GEORGIA, YOU WILL GO TO JAIL!
Impaired drivers cause nearly a third of Georgia’s traffic fatalities every year. That meant 525 alcohol-related funerals for Georgians in 2004. OPERATION ZERO TOLERANCE is a statewide life-saving enforcement initiative to raise driver awareness to the deadly consequences of drunk driving.
NEW SANDY SPRINGS P.D. JOINS STATEWIDE OZT CAMPAIGN
The new Sandy Springs Police Department joined the statewide OZT enforcement campaign when this new agency officially put its patrol cars on the road for the very first time on July 1st, 2006.
ENFORCEMENT WAVE FOLLOWS:
State Troopers, police and sheriff’s deputies will set-up OZT saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints throughout the state from Friday, June 23 through Sunday, July 9, 2006. Drivers who violate Georgia’s DUI laws will go to jail. Law enforcement agencies everywhere encourage Georgians who plan to party, to plan FIRST for a designated driver.
